6:5 For no one remembers you in the realm of death, 1
In Sheol who gives you thanks? 2
18:25 You prove to be loyal 3 to one who is faithful; 4
you prove to be trustworthy 5 to one who is innocent. 6
22:5 To you they cried out, and they were saved;
in you they trusted and they were not disappointed. 7
25:3 Certainly none who rely on you will be humiliated.
Those who deal in treachery will be thwarted 8 and humiliated.
31:8 You do not deliver me over to the power of the enemy;
you enable me to stand 9 in a wide open place.
34:10 Even young lions sometimes lack food and are hungry,
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
39:9 I am silent and cannot open my mouth
because of what you have done. 10
40:4 How blessed 11 is the one 12 who trusts in the Lord 13
and does not seek help from 14 the proud or from liars! 15
41:11 By this 16 I know that you are pleased with me,
for my enemy does 17 not triumph 18 over me.
46:2 For this reason we do not fear 19 when the earth shakes, 20
and the mountains tumble into the depths of the sea, 21
49:7 Certainly a man cannot rescue his brother; 22
he cannot pay God an adequate ransom price 23
50:22 Carefully consider this, you who reject God! 24
Otherwise I will rip you to shreds 25
and no one will be able to rescue you.
51:17 The sacrifices God desires are a humble spirit 26 –
O God, a humble and repentant heart 27 you will not reject. 28
55:22 Throw your burden 29 upon the Lord,
and he will sustain you. 30
He will never allow the godly to be upended. 31
60:10 Have you not rejected us, O God?
O God, you do not go into battle with our armies.
69:33 For the Lord listens to the needy;
he does not despise his captive people. 32
72:12 For he will rescue the needy 33 when they cry out for help,
and the oppressed 34 who have no defender.
78:7 Then they will place their confidence in God.
They will not forget the works of God,
and they will obey 35 his commands.
78:56 Yet they challenged and defied 36 the sovereign God, 37
and did not obey 38 his commands. 39
78:57 They were unfaithful 40 and acted as treacherously as 41 their ancestors;
they were as unreliable as a malfunctioning bow. 42
83:4 They say, “Come on, let’s annihilate them so they are no longer a nation! 43
Then the name of Israel will be remembered no more.”
86:14 O God, arrogant men attack me; 44
a gang 45 of ruthless men, who do not respect you, seek my life. 46
89:48 No man can live on without experiencing death,
or deliver his life from the power of Sheol. 47 (Selah)
94:10 Does the one who disciplines the nations not punish?
He is the one who imparts knowledge to human beings!
94:14 Certainly 48 the Lord does not forsake his people;
he does not abandon the nation that belongs to him. 49
101:5 I will destroy anyone who slanders his neighbor in secret.
I will not tolerate anyone who has a cocky demeanor and an arrogant attitude. 50
101:7 Deceitful people will not live in my palace. 51
Liars will not be welcome in my presence. 52
108:11 Have you not rejected us, O God?
O God, you do not go into battle with our armies.
109:17 He loved to curse 53 others, so those curses have come upon him. 54
He had no desire to bless anyone, so he has experienced no blessings. 55
119:110 The wicked lay a trap for me,
but I do not wander from your precepts.
119:176 I have wandered off like a lost sheep. 56
Come looking for your servant,
for I do not forget your commands.
137:6 May my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth,
if I do not remember you,
and do not give Jerusalem priority
over whatever gives me the most joy. 57
139:12 even the darkness is not too dark for you to see, 58
and the night is as bright as 59 day;
darkness and light are the same to you. 60
